Yoga can reduce hair related problems by improving blood circulation to the scalp, reducing stress and overall health. 



Here are some effective yoga asanas for controlling hair problems. 

1. Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog Pose)

Benefits: Increases blood flow to the scalp and strengthens hair roots.

How to do:

  • Start in a plank position.
  • Lift your hips upward to form an inverted "V" shape.
  • Keep your head down, looking toward your feet.
  • Hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute while breathing deeply.


2. Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose)

Benefits: Improves digestion, reducing toxins in the body, which helps prevent hair loss.

How to do:

  • Sit on your knees with your back straight.
  • Place your hands on your thighs.
  • Breathe deeply and hold the pose for 5–10 minutes.


3. Balayam Yoga (Nail Rubbing Exercise)

Benefits: Stimulates blood circulation to hair follicles.

How to do:

  • Rub the fingernails of both hands against each other, except the thumbnails.
  • Practice this for 5–10 minutes daily.


4. Sirsasana (Headstand Pose)

Benefits: Reverses blood flow, nourishing the scalp and hair roots.

How to do:

  • This asana requires practice. Begin by balancing on your head and arms.
  • Use a wall for support if needed.
  • Hold the pose for 15–30 seconds.
Note: Avoid if you have neck issues or high blood pressure.


5. Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand Pose)

Benefits: Enhances blood circulation to the scalp, reducing stress and strengthening hair.

How to do:

  • Lie flat on your back.
  • Lift your legs upward, supporting your back with your hands.
  • Keep your body straight and hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute.


6. Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend)

Benefits: Improves blood flow to the head and relieves stress.

How to do:

  • Stand straight, bend forward, and touch your hands to the floor.
  • Let your head hang down naturally.
  • Hold for 30 seconds while breathing deeply.


7. Pranayama (Breathing Techniques)

Kapalabhati and Anulom Vilom are excellent for stress reduction, which is key to controlling hair fall.
